CentralCommand 2.0 FAQ

What impact will this upgrade have on my staff?
This upgrade can have minimal impact. You will continue to use CentralCommand in the same manner as you do today or you may want to take advantage of some of the new features.

What functionality is going to change that will impact how we operate today?
The changes that will impact daily operations are:
1.) Navigational changes:
Instead of blue books for menu items, you will have folders. Users will have additional options in customizing the menu screen on the desktop.
2.) Users & Roles:
User security functionality is improved, giving you better access control within the system.
3.) Reversal process:
There is a new reversal process using a proposal and confirmation process.
4.) Bank Reconciliation:
Those currently using the Bank Reconciliation module will need to configure the new rules on how to do the matching.
5.) Data Control:
The current ‘User Group control’ is replaced by the new role-based security functionality and will need to be updated. 
6.) New Application Server Management Console
The menu structure and folder structure used have been modified and updated. How you run, start, stop services has been improved.
7.) Report Batch & Sets
The ability to group reports into one set and run them as a batch. This will allow the batch to be scheduled with dynamic parameters.

What training will be offered on upgrading my system and continuing to work as I do today?
• Training and reference materials will be available for download on the Agresso 5.5 website
• Recorded Webex sessions will be viewable to walk you through the functionality
• Quotes will be available upon request to have a consultant onsite to provide personalized training
• Training courses will be offered on the basics as well as all enhanced functionality within the Agresso system

What technical steps will be involved in the upgrade?
The main steps beside the basic functions of backing up your file structure (reports, database) are:
1.) Run the upgrade for the AGRESSO Business World platform
2.) Run the CentralCommand 2.0 Installation
3.) Uninstall and reinstall VBA and Report Engine

What impact will this upgrade have on our technical environment?
There are a number of changes to the technical infrastructure, including:
1.) IIS Services
Help files and Report notification will require the IIS services. This can be on the existing application server or a separate server.
2.) ASP.Net
This must be installed on the application server.
3.) .NET Framework 1.1
This must be installed on the client application workstations and Citrix Servers.
4.) Updating the security configuration to allow the trusting of AGRESSO components
To use the new AGRESSO Smart Client in a central configured environment, the client computer needs to trust the AGRESSO assemblies. To achieve this, modifications must be done to the .NET configuration files on the client computer.

What will I have to do before I can upgrade my Production environment?
Test to make sure that the following to make sure that everything you do today will continue to work in your new system:
1.) Existing operational and accounting processes.
2.) Custom reports, they include any report that has been modified based on your needs.
3.) Browser and inquiry templates.
4.) Excelerator reports generated from Browsers.
5.) AG16 Custom routines and reports.

What is the process for modifications that may need to be made to any of our customized report or routines if they require them during this upgrade?
Contact support who will work with you to resolve the issue. Depending on the severity of the problem there may be an associated cost.  

What technical training will be offered as part of the upgrade?

• Step-by-step guide working through an independent installation
