Daily Mail and General Trust group to build a 'Dynamic Business Environment'

LONDON - The Daily Mail and General Trust (DMGT) group is replacing the financial systems of its largest two divisions as part of a plan to modernise the back office and drive future growth.
Associated Newspapers and Northcliffe Media will both implement the Agresso Business World system, which replaces their existing finance packages, Coda and Sun.
Matt Page, DMGT programme director, says: "We hope the Agresso system will enable us to share knowledge and expertise between divisions, allowing us to implement improved best practice processes that are more efficient, automated and effective.”
He goes on: "This will allow us to improve communication between the teams – ultimately creating the flexible financial operations we need in order to flourish."
DMGT will be taking advantage of a number of Agresso modules, including core financials, purchasing, reporting, fixed assets, travel expenses and workflow.
Anwen Robinson, Sales Director at Agresso says: "DMGT is a very dynamic business and, as it continues to change, it needs a system that can keep pace."
She continues: "Many industry analysts acknowledge Agresso Business World as the most flexible solution on the market. Its cutting-edge post-implementation agility makes it the only truly future-proof solution, and gives it a lower total cost of ownership than many of its rivals."
